This was a large-scale project with multiple stakeholders. I led the production of the written plans, training and scripts. This was one of several store openings I managed.
I created the Training Management (TM) Team to manage store training and development. I provided the team with expectations, training, web tools and logs, and guided them on independent projects.
It's vital that training leaders communicate effectively and provide a seamless process to new hires. These tools helped to accomplish that by standardizing practices and organizing information.
This manual was tailored for a specific audience--young crew members working their first job.
These manuals undergo regular updating and improvement. Each are designed to consolidate information in one easy-to-print document.
This project demonstrated how the empowerment of team members can lead to excellent and accelerated results.
This project demanded extensive research to ensure comprehensiveness and best practices.
Changes to a menu can follow unpredictable timelines. Producing these materials by deadlines required careful preparation, team coordination and rigor.
In addition to working in-store to assist with shifts and special projects, I also maintained our crew page and posts.
Learning Management Systems facilitate the distribution and reception of training data. We started using a LMS Product called "Schoox," then moved to a proprietary format using Google Suite.
Stakeholders, like managers and Admins, need to be able to measure completion and evaluate effectiveness. Standardized, granular reporting let our teams know of success and new directions.
Training materials took many forms on the belief that people learn in different ways and prefer to learn in varied environments.
